On May 29, the State University System (SUE) Mountain Biking (MTB) Competition was held at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. This sporting event brought together representatives from different higher education institutions across the country to promote physical activity, university integration, and competitive spirit.
The Universidad Pedagógica Nacional had an outstanding participation from students, staff members, faculty, and alumni in both the women’s and men’s divisions. They represented our institution with commitment, discipline, and excellence on a demanding mountain biking course. The competition was held in the XCC (Short Track) format, covering distances of 4,000 meters for the women’s category and 5,000 meters for the men’s category.

These results reflect the university community’s commitment to sports and demonstrate the continued growth of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional mountain biking team, which is steadily establishing itself as a leading force in university MTB competitions and events.
We congratulate all participants for their effort, dedication, and sportsmanship, as well as for proudly representing the University’s values both on and off campus. Their performance serves as an example of perseverance, teamwork, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles within our educational community.
During this semester, the representative team also participated in events such as “Péguese la Rodadita” on April 17, organized in partnership with Compensar, as well as the II and III rounds of the Bogotá MTB Cup, held on March 1 and May 17, where significant achievements were also obtained.
